Selling Strategies Workshop

While 70 percent of patients report having their eye exam performed by an independent eye care professional, only 46 percent of patients reported to purchasing their eyewear from them. Patients have more choices for purchasing than ever before, and this shows approximately 1 in 3 patients walk out without purchasing from their independent eye care professional. While most optometry and opticianry training focuses on the clinical and technical aspects of the industry, few include formal sales and retail training. Since frame, lens, and contact sales account for an average of 60% of an optometric office’s total revenue, this is a major problem that needs solving.

We invite Doctors, Managers, Spectacle Opticians, Contact Lens Opticians and Paraoptometric Technicians to a half-day Selling Workshop designed to provide specific strategies to help you win the online retail battle and teaches specific ways to differentiate your business while giving patients a reason to buy from you – not online. Training also includes specific verbiage and scripting to better communicate vision solutions to patients and overcome their purchasing hesitation, while helping better understand the business aspects to operate more efficiently and cost-effectively.

The workshop is open to PECAA Members & non-Members and is 100% free to attend. Earn COPE, ABO, NCLE and CPC credit.
