Employee Strategies: Retention, Motivation & More
Quite an industry abounds in dispensing pearls of wisdom along the lines of employee management. Keywords like “engagement” or “leadership” or “accountability” are bantered around by sages on the subject. In the end, we all want an office that works better.
During our last Peer-to-Peer dinner of the year together, we will discuss our own real life experiences in regards to staff management. Possible discussion points include:
- What really motivates our employees? Cold hard cash? Accolades? Mission?
- Retention and employee turnover: When is turnover better than retention? When is a practice structured to promote long term employees?
- Do you know what your employees are really thinking about your practice? Does that matter?
- What is achievable in staff management and what recurring challenges are simply part and parcel of owning or managing a practice?
This dinner is open to doctors and office managers who handle HR.
